Is the $99 Blue Yeti Nano the BEST Microphone for YouTube???

Video transcript below:

Hey guys, dan here with CLE Tech and in this video were going to talk about what might be the perfect microphone for this who are looking to start out on YouTube, or want to start a podcast, streaming on twitch, etc…

The Blue Yeti Nano is the sibling to the famous Blue Yeti microphone. This premium usb microphone features 24-bit sound quality, a compact design and of course, my favorite part about the yeti nano, its a true plug and play solution by simply plugging in the usb cable into your Mac or PC.

The design of the yeti Nano is simple and looks great on any desk setup or in the studio. With a solid built in metal mic stand that allows for easy adjustability in order to capture your voice at the perfect angle.

You’ll also find the volume knob for your no latency headphone output on the front, and on the back is a button to switch between your two available pickup patterns. The cool thing about the yeti nano and what makes it a truly versatile microphone is the ability to switch between cardiod and omnidirectional modes.

So for those of you who record podcasts with a single host, streamers, and of course YouTubers like myself who need to record some high quality voice overs, the cardiod mode is the polar pattern you’re going to want to be using. With rich, full-bodied sound, the Yeti Nano is the perfect microphone for voice overs in the studio and on the go.

If you have multiple people on your podcasts, with participants in the same room seated around the microphone, you’re going to want to obviously switch to the omnidirectional mode. As the name implies, you can record and stream sound equally from all around the mic.

Alright, so this all sounds great but the true test, is of course, is how it sounds and so for my final thoughts about the yeti nano, I suggest putting on some headphones to get a sense of the microphone truly sounds.

The yeti nano is tiny but the sound is robust. Its truly capable of delivering some rich sound. My favorite things about the nano, is the form factor and how easy it is to plug and record with its USB input. I absolutely love how crystal clear the sound is with the yeti nano and this has quickly become my go to microphone when it I travel and need to record voice overs on the go. Unfortunately, the nano does not include any sort of pop filter or protection against harsh sounds but if you’re keeping this guy docked on your desk or on a boom arm, I suggest you get yourself a pop filter.

For $99, this is the microphone to beat. If you’re a YouTuber, streamer, podcaster, or even have regular Skype or conference calls at the office, this is a great option.
